Obituary

Richard Link Goodwin, 42, of Pensacola, Florida, died on September 18, 2019, as a result of his injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born October 18, 1976, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was the son of Robert Harold Goodwin and Beverly Dyan Boyer. He attended Pine Forest High School, where he played football for the varsity team. Richard Link Goodwin, or better known as Link, was a great man and was loved by many.

Link is survived by his three sons, Daniel Kai Goodwin, 22, Robert Dalton Goodwin, 19, and Dagan Cole Goodwin, 6. He is also survived by his niece, Bobbie Sue Goodwin, 35; his ex-wife, Frankie Watson, 43; and Dagan’s mother, Crystal Dawn Smith, 39.

He will be missed by the many friends and family he knew and loved. He was a very passionate man when it came to his kids and he loved all three of them very much. He loved to ride his motorcycle in his free time.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon, Friday, October 4, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, Florida.

Remembering Link Goodwin Saturday - 10.19.2019 Link – Style Celebration 5 p.m. @ Whiskey Runners meat will be provided * bring side dishes Candlelight Remembrance ride or drive to the site be there by 7:47 p.m. * Bring a candle David Cormany and Tondra Allender are planning a celebration of life, “biker style” or Link Goodwin, on Saturday, October 19, 2019, 5 p.m. @ Whiskey Runners. We will be supplying the meat for anyone that would like to bring a side dish - please do - and let Tondra know. Anyone and everyone is welcome. If you wanna ride, or drive, we are riding to the site, plan is to be there at 7:47 p.m., for a candlelight remembrance. Link’s last words to Tondra was " ‘you’ of all people, should know better than anyone about wind therapy!” So, we r gonna do this "Link style” Please share this and remember to bring a candle.

I miss you so much! Thank you for our 2 beautiful, smart, wonderful, wild at heart children, they are a perfect mix of us both. Also thank you for all the memories that nobody can take away I will cherish them forever. besides my dad you were the only man I could count on to be there when stuff got real. I hope you got a proper greeting from everyone that loves you and take dad for a ride up there for me and tell him I miss him. Until I see you again "Fronkie" loves you!
