Laura Jean Simmons Spears went to rest with the angels on Friday, September 13, 2019.
Laura was born June 27, 1964, in Ft. Myers, Florida, to the late Leon (Evelyn) Simmons, and the late Louise (Grant) Barton.
Laura will be forever remembered for her love for her family, and as you well know, if she loves you then you are family. Blood never determined her love for others. She was the most giving person you would ever meet. She has been called by some “a hoarder of children.” Her love for not only her kids, but all kids, was a major part of who she was. Laura was a music lover and an avid plant lover. She loved to turn up the music and she loved to dance. She loved the river and loved to be outside in the sun. She approached everything she did with passion and vigor and none could compare. She was the best friend anyone could ever have; her compassion for others went above and beyond. She has given the shoes off her feet, and a place to stay, to countless people in her lifetime. If you were fortunate enough to have known her, you knew the food was going to be delicious and her company a breath of fresh air. Her smile gave a since of peace and was given without thought. There is not enough words, nor time left on earth, to describe just how beautiful a person Laura was.
Laura was survived by her loving husband William (Bill) Spears; and her children, Chasity (Dewey), Kuchrisus (Travis), Rickey Jr (Kelly) (Kristi), Dewie Rose, Silas, Jade, Samara, Thelma, Louise, Crystal (the late, Byron), Ashley (Amber), Jennie (Mike), Leslie, Debbie (David), Tuesdee (J.R.), Scooter, Allen (Kali), Thomas, Zaxery, Josh and Bailey.
She also leaves to cherish her memory, several grandchildren, Leon, Blake, Ari, Demarquis, Falcon, Phoenix, Nevaeh, Cage, Phury, Phoenix, Zara, Henry, Kemora, Devin, Alex, Harmony, Alaina, Paris, Michael, Makayla, Jordan, Payton, Brooklyn, Gabe, David, Kaleb, Jesse, Bailey, Mason; and her siblings, Elaine, Brenda (David), Debbie (David), Theresa (Jack), James, Woody and Wormy; many nieces, nephews, close friends, her special "yayas", and her beloved best friends, Rick and Bonnie.
Laura Jean was welcomed into heaven by her Angels, Savannah Braswell and Shawn Dillon McLaughlin.
