Jack Harold Wible (Papa Jack, Grampy, Grumpy) 85, was called home Thursday, July 25, 2019. He was surrounded by the love of his life and wife of 67 years “Dot” and his best friend and son Jack Wible (Jr), in a family home.
In the weeks and days leading up to his passing he was visited by many family members and friends, whom he greatly loved. On his last day with us, he was surrounded by love, nurtured, and prayed over. When his son got up to go put the chickens in for the night (something they did every night), it was like in spirit Jack(Sr) walked out with him and then into the “Sunset”.
Jack(Sr) was born in Huntingdon PA, December 8, 1933 to Harold and Verna Wible who had preceded him in death. He is the oldest of 2 boys, and will be missed greatly by his younger brother Ronald Wible of Navarre, Florida.
Jack married “Dottie” in 1952 after dating only 6 months, 67 years later they had built a legacy of love and dedication. After high school he enlisted in the Army Reserved where he served for 8 years. In 1969 they moved to Springcreek, Pa where they were a part of the Miracle Mountain Ranch and had become foster parents to teens through the Bair Foundation. Their family life was filled with foster kids, teens, and adults, Jack and Dot were always willing to help others in need.
By trade Jack was a carpenter, cabinet maker, and contractor. In 1976 they moved to Florida and began a life in the South. He and his son Jack(Jr) started Wible & Wible Inc. and spent the last half a century working together.
Left to treasure his memory is; his wife Dororthy Wible of Navarre, Fl, his son and daughter in love Jack (Jr) & Lois Wible, daughter Lynne Wible (Bollhoefer), daughter and son in love “Ezra” Kristen and Tom Dauson. His grandchildren Adam (Heather) Bollhoefer, David (Lisa) Wible, Michael (Kellie) Bollhoefer, Laura (Dan) Bryan, Phillip (Chelsea) Bollhoefer, Jonathan (Reema) Boldes, Aaron (Sarah) Wible, Katilyn Bollhoefer, Britton (Katelyn) Dauson, Codye (Danielle) Dauson, Baylyn Dauson, Mavrick Dauson. His great grandchildren Ethan & Kayleigh Bollhoefer, Emily, Noah, Eli, and David Wible.
Anyone who knew Jack, knew of his love for family and friends, there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for anyone in need. His legacy is that of grit, commitment, humor and above all else LOVE.
