It is with great sadness that my family and I share the passing of my mother, Diane Louise Burg, age 64, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Diane passed away on Thursday morning, June 20, 2019, under the care of hospice in her daughter Patty’s home in Milton, Florida. She peacefully lost her battle with heart disease and diabetes.

Diane was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She adored her grandsons whom she doted on every chance she got.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Burg; her father, Hugh L. Skinner II; and her brother, Hugh L. Skinner III.

Diane is survived by her mother, Blanche Skinner; her sister, Lisa (Michael) Molinari; her oldest daughter, Patricia “Patty” (Gary) Rathman, and their three sons, Christopher (age 20, of the United States Navy, Michael (age 18, and soon to be college student) and Alexander (age 17, and an upcoming Junior in High School); and her youngest daughter, Tammi (Napoleon) Byars.

Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, Florida has been entrusted with arrangements.

So sad to learn of Diane's passing. She and I worked together for many years in Staffing and Placement, Division of Personnel, National Capital Region with the National Park Service. I have many fond memories of her and her immediate family. I particularly enjoyed Diane's laugh and positive outlook on life. She was a wonderful individual.

I would like to offer our Deepest Sympathy to Diane's Family. When Diane and Don lived in Maryland, she was my "Partner in Crime"♥ We met through our Membership at the D.C. Ramblers and I thoroughly enjoyed so many good times with her. I hated to see them move to Myrtle Beach, even though we visited them a few times, it was not the same as seeing her weekly...Words cannot express the sadness I feel for her Family, I will definitely keep you all in my Prayers. Diane is with Don and I am sure they will be watching over you all...Georgia McLaughlin
